We are looking for a creative person to join our content creation team. You can call yourself a copywriter, content writer or however else you prefer - we want you to help us craft excellent and engaging content. In this role, your responsibilities will include working with others to understand project expectations better, produce content,  participate in the brainstorming process, and conduct research to develop or support our content.

Responsibilities 

Creating and editing original content that is accurate, well-researched, and meets company needs and deadlines.

Writing compelling content across all marketing channels, including website content, blog posts, product descriptions, digital and print ads, and more.

Collaborating with other teams to learn about their content needs.

Conducting research to formulate ideas or support writing.

Learning about the target audience.

Analyzing competition and strengthening the company’s brand position.

Assisting in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content.

 

What do we expect:

2+ years of experience in a similar position (copywriter, blog writer, etc) with a demonstrated history (we’d love to see your previous work)

Great English (US) writing skills are a MUST

Ideally, you've worked in the US, UK, and/or Australian market

You're independent and resourceful. You’re good at prioritization and don’t need hand-holding

Understanding of SEO, how SEO works, and how to optimize content to the current SEO standards

Good research skills that will be used to provide new insights or information in your content that will interest the readers

A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication

You are a team player, flexible, and can adapt to a flexible remote work environment

A degree in Marketing Communications or a related field is a plus

Previous experience with freelancing, remote working, or working in an international environment will be considered a plus

Ode à la Rose is a flower delivery company based in New York. We have local same-day delivery in 7 cities across the US and next-day delivery nationwide.

The first is our attention to detail. Our founders are originally from France where flowers aren’t just something you send; they tell a story on your behalf.

 

From the variety to the number of stems, from the color choice to the composition, bouquets carry meaning, heart, and passion.

 

Ode à la Rose was started in 2012 to share this part of the founders' culture with people in the US.

 

It all begins with the flowers. Ours come straight from the best eco-friendly farms in Ecuador, Colombia, the Netherlands, and elsewhere.

 

Our highly talented in-house artisans have years of floral design experience and use seasons as inspiration to design beautifully unique bouquets.

 

And our clients love us because of it.

 

The second reason is less romantic. It's our emphasis on UX and digital marketing.

 

We do our best to make our website as easy to use as possible. And our support team is always on standby.

 

We're doing well in SEO, paid search, and social ads too.

Perks, Location & Salary

 

We'd like you to be available for real-time communication with him between 8 am and 11 am CT (3 pm and 6 pm CET) Mon-Fri. This doesn't mean you always need to work during these hours - you just need to check your Slack messages and be available for scheduled calls.

 

Outside of that, how you organize your time is up to you.

 

We offer a contractor/B2B work agreement (meaning that you’ll have to take care of your own taxes, pension, etc.), or we can hire you in your country of residence with all taxes, social and health insurance, and other legal obligations covered by an EOR provider.

 

This is a full-time, fully-remote position, and we expect your complete focus and dedication.
