MediaTech Support is a new start-up company offering support and multimedia services to independent editorial teams working for the world's leading English-language media. 

Located in Skopje, Macedonia, we already have an established relationship with our clients who are engaged in generating independent news for international publications.

We offer multimedia services and content ranging from pictures and video through to news items. We also offer related services such as IT support, cuttings and graphic design. We have a team of qualified professionals to support the journalistic and editorial work of our clients and our team is growing all the time. 

 

Looking to expand our team further, we are searching for motivated candidates to fill the following position: 

Cuttings Assistant

 

Details about the position / responsibilities:

The cuttings assistant is responsible for daily monitoring of the news published by specified news agencies and tabloids. Our clients produce news articles which at a later stage are distributed to a wider network of British news media. The Cuttings Assistant role involves tracking which articles from our clients are being published by end users. Other responsibilities include constantly checking what is popular in the news world, what type of stories the end users prefer and eventually having a sense of what type of stories make and what is being ignored. Paying attention to detail, accuracy, exploring ways an article can be written (to get to the true keywords), and thinking out of the box when browsing the internet is an everyday task, which is never the same and requires creativity on a daily basis.
