Peace Corps North Macedonia is a U.S. government agency and seeks qualified and motivated candidates for the full-time position of:

Information Technology Systems Manager

The Information Technology Systems Manager (ITSM) reports directly to the Director of Management and Operations. The ITSM oversees all Peace Corps Information Technology operations at Post, supporting the mission to improve services and infrastructure in alignment with Peace Corps guidelines. The ITSM is responsible for the installation and integrity of computer systems, administration of local IT systems, and maintenance of configurations mandated by Peace Corps standards. The ITSM serves as team lead for ticketing queues and monitors and resolves IT issues at Post and sub-regional Posts without an IT professional. The ITSM leads the design, documentation, and sharing of automation solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and the M365V tenant. The ITSM acts as team leader in translating Post business needs into IT requirements, ensuring alignment with Post priorities.

Location: Skopje, with required travel within North Macedonia

 

Salary: starting at 203,985.00 MKD/per month (gross amount), negotiable based on salary history and experience. No relocation expenses will be covered.

 

Contract: This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum working schedule of 40 hours per week. The anticipated contract will be for a base period, with up to four option periods, exercisable at the unilateral option of the Peace Corps based on satisfactory performance, continued need for position, and availability of funds.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related IT field.

 

Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional working experience in computer operations, networking, or troubleshooting techniques AND minimum 1 year of professional working experience in IT operations and management.

 

Certifications: Minimum 1 certification in network and systems administration such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, PMP or ITIL.

 

Language: Fluent in Macedonian and English (both written and oral).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;

·         Excellent interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and time management skills;

·         Experience working in a cross-cultural setting and as a member of a multicultural team;

Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively under pressure; High level of professionalism and integrity; Willingness to continuously improve skills and knowledge through professional development.

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Management of Information Systems (MIS), or related IT field; Relevant IT work experience in an international organization, embassy, or multinational company.

 

Security Clearance: After an offer is made, the selected candidate is required to successfully pass a background investigation conducted by the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.

 

Estimated Start Date: January 2027, contingent on successful background investigation and availability of funds.
