Godo Property is a Property Management System (PMS) that, in addition to the technical system that we provide, offers a range of optional premium services for properties for an additional fee under the name Good Suite (https://godo.is/en/suite). One of these services is the combined revenue management and channel expertise. Within the department that handles the mentioned service, we have around 90 properties ranging from smaller properties to hotels with 100+ rooms. We are helping these properties to optimize the profit they generate by optimizing the rates they publish on a day-by-day basis (i.e. dynamic rates) and the channels that they use with a high focus on streamlining and scalability.

 

Job Overview

You will be a part of a team that focuses on the channels that the property is using; mainly their own direct booking engine (that is provided on the property website) and their so-called OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) such as Booking.com, Expedia/Hotels.com, Airbnb, and many others. This focus mainly revolves around the aesthetical and technical setup, optimization, and upkeep of said channels with an emphasis on the attention to detail and ability to formulate a “selling” message throughout all the channels’ content.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Onboard new clients and tailor the appearance of their channels through language, pictures, and features to ensure that they are optimized for sales

Keep all applicable sales channels continuously updated to keep all features factually correct and to keep adding value for the client

Learn the extranets of all applicable OTAs to be able to set up and adjust properties independently

Learn the insides of our platform, Godo Property, to be able to adjust the system in order to come up with relevant solutions

Communicate with the relevant decision maker (e.g., owner, property manager or revenue manager) for each property to:

Ensure that they are satisfied with the services we provide

Obtain information needed to convey a suitable message through their content

Be able to present ideas and possibly need to convince the purpose of a said idea through communication skills and expertise

Communicate with the rest of the team, mainly through email and video chat, in order to update, learn and come up with ways of improving our services to the properties

Work independently and proactively when necessary to find ways to improve the property and the ways in which we can help our clients

Keep up with market trends and developments within accommodation and hospitality tech

 

Qualifications:

Education:

University level - Business, Economics, Engineering or equivalent. 

Specific skills:

Professional English, verbal and written

Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets

Good analytical skills

Experience:

Hotel or tourism work experience preferred

Revenue management, statistics, or analytics experience preferred

Personal characteristics:

Attention to detail

Able to quickly and easily learn how to work with new software solutions

Comfortable with working in a team and collaborating

Independent decision-making
