Client Description:

Horeko is the market leader in kitchen and employee management software for the hospitality industry. Started 8 years ago as a one man startup in The Netherlands, it has grown to a team of about 20 spread out over offices in Amersfoort (The Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium) and Skopje. Their innovative software solutions are implemented in over a thousand companies, serving thousands of users on a daily basis. They use Horeko to manage the finances of their recipes, organize their operations in the kitchen or to schedule their staff in the most efficient way. Horeko aims to improve the hospitality industry as a whole by providing user-friendly solutions that provide easy insight and actionable data. 

 

Project Description:

The Horeko solution consists of two main applications: Horeko Hospitality and Horeko Planning. The Hospitality systems focusses on the kitchen management while Horeko Planning focusses on employee management. Both are built in C# MVC ASP.NET with MS SQL on a database level and JS/JQuery on client-side. Both systems share the same codebase and can be sold as one complete application. Each system has an additional extension.  

The Hospitality system is expandable with “Viewers”: industrial-grade touchscreen PC’s that are mounted directly in the kitchen, running a separate purpose-built application focused on digitalizing kitchen processes. 

The Planning system has its own native mobile app for Android and iOS to allow each employee to check their schedule, request vacation, trade a shift with a colleague or read the company newsletter. 

 

Due to the constantly growing number of users and the ambitious roadmap, the client wishes to increase the development power by expanding the team. You will be working on new features to meet user demand and fix the occasional bug. Additionally some parts of the application are scheduled for rewrite or refactor to meet the latest technology standards.  

As one of the more experienced members of the team you will have a role in assisting others to complete their tasks and learn in the process. If all goes well you have the opportunity to grow into the role of team leader. 

 

The developer will be in contact with the client on a daily basis having standup meeting, following the agile principals, will be working alongside senior developers to take the solution to the next level. You will be working in a highly motivated team of 6 (soon to be 8) developers where personal growth is highly encouraged. We are looking for candidates with:  Experience Minimum 3 years of experience with the .Net framework and C#. Position level: senior or good medior is required.

Considered as plus:   

SignalR  Any charting platform for web application (such as Highcharts)  

 

Education 

Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) of Informatics and computer engineering  

 

Foreign languages

Minimum B1 (Intermediate)
